I was there yesterday and I tell you the truth :
The Antinoo statues were gourgeous, I kneeled in front of all of them ( I faked I was writing down the information ), it is 12 pounds only and for the people who cannot be there I will tell you the A. statues in order:
Busto as Dyonisus  ( from B.Museum ) from Gianicolo Hill in Rome ( terribly alive and fashinating )
A. as Aristaios ( Louvre)
Testa ( Louvre)..Wonderful
Obviously there was a somewhat strange way to " present" Antinoo ( I wandered about Parents with boys of A.same age ! )
Very moving the pages of YOURCENAR ( originals )

Hi anerandros,

Hello and Welcome here in our Antinous Forum!

Wow you were there? Great. Thank you very much for sharing these information.

I can not visit the exhibition, but I was in the first Antinous Exhibition in Berlin some years ago.  Smiley

I am ashamed  being an Italian and a Roman not to be well informed about
all the statues and Masterpieces about Antinoo, would you please tell me about the exibition in Berlin ? Who organized it ? Was it about Antinoo only ?
Thank you very much

Hi Aner

I have a website about Antinous and there is also a page about the exhibition:
http://www.antinous.wai-lung.com/antinous_de_exhibition_2005.htm

Sorry the page is currently only in German available. But the Translation in English will follow.

A bit in English you can find here in this topic: http://antinous.wai-lung.com/forum/index.php?topic=29.0

Who organized it ?
I will look, when I'm back at home. The exhibition was in the Pergamonmuseum in Berlin. I think the "Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin" had oranized it.
